Erasing The Tapes

It’s time to erase the tape that somebody programmed in your head because they didn’t think you were smart enough, pretty enough or strong enough to succeed. They couldn’t see God’s plan and purpose for your life. Instead, they formed an opinion about you, based on their own personal perceptions. They assumed you would turn out to be just another carbon copy of somebody else.
You are an original. Be the best YOU that you can be. God made you to be unique and unlike anyone else on the planet. You have a purpose and a divine destiny. Don’t believe the lies that you heard that caused you to doubt yourself or diminished how you perceived yourself. They may have tried to define you with limiting descriptions, like:
You’re too old or You’re too young
You’re too tall or You’re too short
You’re too fat or You’re too skinny
You’re too hard to get to know or You’re too easy
You’re talk too much or You’re don’t talk enough
You’re too negative or You’re too positive
You’re too independent or You’re too dependent
You’re too serious or You’re not serious enough
You’re not the right color
You’re not the right size
You’re not the right shape
You’ll never amount to nothing
Says who???

Stop the madness.
Erase the tapes by thinking positive thoughts about yourself
I heard someone say, thoughts precede actions.
Also, speak positive words about yourself.
We should speak positive declarations about ourselves every day.
The tongue has the power of life and death.. Proverbs 18:21a NIV

Speak life about who you are. Talk to yourself.
Tell yourself…
I am beautiful. I am powerful. I am important.
I am a winner. I am blessed. I am favored.
I am destined to succeed.
The Bible says:
Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approved what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Philippians 4:8 NIV
