The Gospel according to Matthew 7:7-8 says:
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV)

These three actions listed as an acrostic spell the word ask. Webster defines these three words, as follows:
A: Ask – to request by using words
S: Seek – to go in search of
K: Knock – to strike a sounding blow with the fist, knuckles, or anything hard, especially on a door, window or the like, as in seeking admittance, calling attention, or giving a signal.

When we desire something from God, we are to ask the Lord, in prayer. In order to receive, we must ask, in order to find, we must seek, and in order for doors to open, we must knock.

Lord, keep your hand upon us and watch over us. Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Thank you for showering us with your many blessings and for your unmerited favor and your Amazing Grace. Amen!
